Christian Life Community

The Christian Life Community is a way of life inspired by the spirituality of St Ignatius of Loyola. We are one of the oldest lay associations in the Church, founded in 1563. In England many of our communities are ecumenical.

We embrace the CLC way of life to enable us to bring together our faith and our lives to become more and more aware of God working in every aspect of them. Some describe us as discernment communities.

There are five of us in our CLC and we meet fortnightly in the evening, not primarily to pray (though we do pray together) but more to share where God has been in our lives during the past fortnight.

Part of our way of life is the commitment to make an Ignatian retreat each year. We have started to have an annual day of prayer together and also do our best to participate in the biennial week of guided prayer which is usually organised in the parish.
