Community Garden Group

St. Charles Community Garden Group was formed in 2012 when there was a need to build a safe communal garden to bring members of the Parish together. The garden is located at the back of the Church grounds and it has transformed over the years, benefitting from a Polytunnel for educational workshops, communal sensory and prayer gardens fso that people can sit and enjoy peace and tranquility.

Our community garden is an inspirational gift which demands practice, patience and a willingness to grow and learn. We have not only benefitted from the enduring happiness that the garden offers, but we have worked with local government agencies and companies who have helped us to raise over £7k plus donations.

Since our official garden launch, we have appeared on the front cover of a magazine, came first in a community funding event, special guests of the Mayor at the official opening of ASDA’s new store in Swinton. Who knew gardening could be so much fun!

Please come and join us, any support you can give would be very much appreciated.
