International Group

 

 

The international group was formed earlier this year. It came about following part 1 of the Hope in the Future project, whereby we  Celebrated our Giftedness with a booklet and launch party celebrated our parish ministries, as part of this we invited parishioners to join our many ministries or to start some new ones – this one was started as a way to unite the many different cultures we have in our parish.

We currently have about 10 members, all residing in the parish but hailing from many different countries including, Ireland, France, Nigeria, Uganda, Spain, Pakistan, Poland, and the Congo.

We held our first big group event as the central focus of the St.Georges Day festival in April – an International Mass – bringing together all of our cultures, languages and music to create an incredible celebration of God work.

We meet regularly to discuss further projects and attend masses across the diocese together. Our next venture may be a much larger project and we could really use your help. The Week Ahead …..

 Sunday 28 June. Saint Peter and Saint Paul apostles. All Masses are now suspended until further notice in compliance with current directives - as is Sunday Mass obligation because of extraordinary circumstances.                                                                                                                                         10.00am "Zoom Mass"  

Monday 29 June.  Weekday of Ordinary Time. Week 13.           All Masses are currently suspended because of current directives.

Tuesday 30 June.  First Martyrs of the See of Rome. All Masses are currently suspended because of current directives. 

Wednesday  1 July.   Saint Oliver Plunkett, Bishop and martyr. All Masses are currently suspended because of current directives.

Thursday 2 July.   All Masses are currently suspend because of current directives.   

 Friday 3 July  Saint Thomas, apostle. All Masses are currently suspended because of current directives.

 Saturday 4 July.  All Masses are currently suspended because of current directives.
