International Group

The international group was formed earlier this year. It came about following part 1 of the Hope in the Future project, whereby we  Celebrated our Giftedness with a booklet and launch party celebrated our parish ministries, as part of this we invited parishioners to join our many ministries or to start some new ones – this one was started as a way to unite the many different cultures we have in our parish.

We currently have about 10 members, all residing in the parish but hailing from many different countries including, Ireland, France, Nigeria, Uganda, Spain, Pakistan, Poland, and the Congo.

We held our first big group event as the central focus of the St.Georges Day festival in April – an International Mass – bringing together all of our cultures, languages and music to create an incredible celebration of God work.

We meet regularly to discuss further projects and attend masses across the diocese together. Our next venture may be a much larger project and we could really use your help. If you would like to find out more or to join us, please just email us here at international@stcharlesswinton.com – all nationalilties welcome (including English, Scottish and Welsh – its about unity, not diversity!)
