Spirituality Group

Father Paul initiated this group which grew out of various anniversaries and jubilees in recent years and took responsibility for organising various dimensions of spiritual input.

This has included the now annual Lenten School of Prayer. This has provided a series of reflections each Lent, attracting parishioners, friends from other Christian communities of the area and other parishes of the deanery and diocese.

The theme has changed from year to year but the aim has always been to offer people the opportunity for a variety of prayer experiences and time for reflection on the Gospels in preparation for Easter.

Art, Iconography, multi-media have been featured in the School of Prayer as well as contemplation of Gospel passages. Conversations over refreshments have been a highlight of each session also, stimulating new insights and promoting further discussion.

The group has also provided Weeks of Guided Prayer during a number of summers.
